About me

I am Nawel (“nah-well”) Izard: lawyer, mother, and community builder. I believe the smallest details often hold the biggest truths. I value community, good food, and quality time on the ice, whether skating myself or watching my son play hockey.

I began my legal career in 2015 as a summer student and was called to the bar in 2021 after stepping back to focus on family. When I returned to practice, I did so with a new lens shaped by parenting, lived experience, and a deep commitment to listening first.

My work is about people, not just rules. I support families, small businesses, and individuals navigating periods of transition through family law, tax planning, business law, and estate planning. I also work closely with clients in agriculture, fisheries, residential conveyancing, and commercial real estate, where decisions are often tied to legacy, land, livelihood, and long-term trust.

My role is to help clients slow down, make informed choices, and feel seen in a legal system that too often feels overwhelming or impersonal. I bring clarity, structure, and care to moments that matter.

Outside of practice, I am raising my son, volunteering locally, and actively supporting the small businesses and professionals who hold our community together.

On January 12, 2026 I opened the doors to my first brick and mortar location in Campbell River located at #15-1270 Dogwood Street. This is “Office 1.0”.

I am fortunate to be supported by a remote and local team which includes 2 paralegals, a legal assistant, 3 logistics coordinators, 3 law students/clerks, and I am currently expanding my team to add 2 lawyers, a conveyancer and a business manager.
